Insulation or Back-up Lining is the primary layer which retards the transfer of heat from the process to the shell. An effective insulation or back-up lining will help in reducing shell temperature, prevention of hotspots, reducing fuel utilization, and assisting in process temperature build-up & control.

Dimal's Insulating Refractories are lightweight castables that possess low thermal conductivity for the needed insulating qualities. The products offered can be gunned or casted, and additional properties can be adjusted to suit every application requirement.
